Welcome to
Barstow
Barstow is the High Desert hub where Route 66, the Mojave National Preserve, and the Santa Fe Railroad all converge. The Route 66 Mother Road Museum and the Western America Railroad Museum both share the beautifully restored 1911 Casa del Desierto Harvey House.
Calico Ghost Town (a restored 1880s silver-mining town) sits 10 miles north, and Bagdad Cafe — the actual diner from the cult 1987 film — is 30 minutes east in Newberry Springs.
