We’re pretty sure that whether you use the apps on your smartphone regularly or not, you’ll be pulling this one out more than you think. Gas prices are steadily climbing. Even when they go down just a bit, it’s only a matter of time before we’re forced to shell out our life savings at the pump. GasBuddy is a no-frills, easy-to-access app that gives you the various prices of gas stations in your area. Yep, it’s that easy. What we love most about the app is that we’re able to view prices in different cities. This makes mapping out your trip even easier. While gas station prices tend to be higher right off of highways and expressways, this app gives you an idea if a cheaper gas station is nearby. My husband and I used GasBuddy during Labor Day weekend and we were shocked to discover that a gas station only a mile away had cheaper gas than the 3 gas stations that we saw off of the highway. Gas Buddy not only saved us time but it saved us money as well.
If you’re a chronic trip planner and like to get an idea of where you’ll be taking stops prior to traveling, the GasBuddy.com website is just as useful. Our only regret about using this app is that we didn’t discover it earlier.
