Rock City’s Enchanted Garden of Lights

November 21 – January 3 (closed Christmas Eve)

For 20 years, Rock City’s annual event has delighted guests from near and far. Over 30 holiday scenes are brought to life with light as you walk through the Gardens. Vendors at the Holiday Marketplace will help you finish up shopping for your Nice list, and at the North Pole Lodge pavilion you can hear nightly live music from choirs, ensembles and bands. The real showstopper is the Enchanted Trail, where you never know what you’ll see next.

As you wander down the Trail you’ll be surprised to meet lots of cool characters, such as Jack Frost, Inara the Ice Queen, Frosty the Snowman, Jerry the Toy Soldier Mime, and keep an eye out for Elves! One of the very best scenes might just be the Dancing Forest, where the lighted trees come to life and dance to holiday tunes.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Christmas without some really special guests. Mrs. Claus will help you decorate gingerbread cookies while you drink hot cocoa and warm up by the fire. And up until December 23, make your way to the Cliff Terrace Porch to tell Santa what you want for Christmas.

If you get chilly through the night, there are four fire pits throughout your journey, and there’s a Starbucks for your favorite warm drinks. Other extra add-ons you can enjoy are the Sugar Plum Fairy makeover, Dinner with Santa, and getting a great picture with Santa from Kodak.

The Gardens are open every day except Christmas Eve. Sunday-Wednesday tickets are $19.95 for adults and $11.95 for children, and Thursday-Saturday tickets are available at $22.95 for adults and $12.95 for children. For $10 more for adults and $5 more for kids, you can also tour the gardens during the daytime.

Buy tickets online and get all the event details at the See Rock City website.
