The Details
Forever Florida is a 4700-acre eco-ranch and wildlife conservation area located just under an hour from Florida’s most famous attractions. The property is home to 9 Florida ecosystems consisting of a wide variety of wildlife including; bears, alligators, over two hundred species of birds and if you’re at the right place at the right time, you may even catch a glimpse of the Florida panther.
One of the main attractions at this property is the Cowboy for a Day experience. This is a real chance for guests to saddle up a horse and live like a real life cowboy for a day. You’ll begin the day with a horseback riding lesson before making your way out to work on the ranch rotating the herds from one grazing cell to another on the property’s beautiful Crescent J Ranch.
You’ll get to channel your inner cowboy by checking fences, rounding up strays, return a lost calf, place an ear tag on a newborn, or even learn how to take care of an injured animal. Whatever you run into, you’ll handle it like a real cowboy would. Lastly. you can’t brand yourself a cowboy without the proper attire, right? You’ll need a real cowboy hat – so one will be given to you.
Good Eats
After a long day of working, you’ll likely get hungry. Lunch will be served, and it’s a good one! You’ll sink your teeth into a burger made from their grade fed, pasture-raised beef, some of the very breeds of cattle you’ve been working with during your experience.
