Multnomah Falls

Located halfway between Portland and Hood River is the gorgeous and picturesque, Multnomah Falls. Multnomah Falls stands at 611-foot-tall and offers an awe-inspiring scene. There is a parking lot right outside the falls, which is just a quick 5-minute walk away. 

Hike Tamanawas Falls Trail

Tamanawas Falls is where the Cold Spring Creek falls over a 150’ lava cliff near the east side of Mount Hood. Enjoy a scenic and quiet hike through the woods about 2 miles to get to the beautiful falls.

Ski on Mt. Hood

Looking to do some skiing? Mt. Hood is the perfect place, where it’s winter all year long! Check out the ski lift at Timberline Lodge to drop you off at the best ski spots.

Bike Ride through Syncline Trail

Hop on over the Hood River Bridge into Washington, grab yourself a mountain bike and ride through the Syncline trail! This is a fairly easy trail, suitable for all skill level. Beware of rock and dirt paths.

Kite Surf on the Columbia River

If there’s one thing that Hood River is best known for, it’s Kite Surfing. You can find kite board lessons at several different places in Hood River. Grab a board, a kite, and get on the water!
