Guests have access to over 37 1/2 acres of eroded surface in the world’s eighth largest diamond-bearing volcanic crater. When you first get to Crater of Diamonds State Park, head to the visitor center to view all of the diamonds in the rough and learn the reasons behind why they are located at this particular place in Arkansas. Once you’ve done that, stop in the Diamond Discovery Center to check out the exhibits and videos that will provide the information you’ll need to search for and identify rough diamonds. You’ll also  have the choice to rent mining tools at the Discovery Center.

While most people will look for clear diamonds, they may not know that diamonds come in all colors of the rainbow! The colors you’ll be able to find at the Crater of Diamonds are white, brown and yellow. Garnet, jasper, amethyst, agate, and quartz, among other rocks and minerals, are also possible to be found at the Crater of Diamonds, making the park a paradise for any major rock fans…literally!

Crater of Diamonds State Park is a perfect spot to camp out! The park offers 47 Class AAA campsites and five walk-in tent sites with free Wi-Fi, an enclosed pavilion with air-conditioning and heating, picnic sites, restaurant, gift shop, trails, laundry, and the Diamond Springs Water Park, a pool, and so much more.
