Most would agree that summer is the best time of year. School is out, the sun in shining and long road trips are (usually) on the agenda! Whether you’re planning a road trip to the beach or to the country, there’s not much that can hold you back from hopping behind the wheel and hitting the open road, right?

Not necessarily.  The only downside to summer is that the prices for gas usually sky rocket during the peak of summer. If you’re like most Americans, you probably live within a budget and spending hundreds and thousands of dollars on gas may not be realistic. However, even though most cities are looking at around $4.00/gallon, there are some cities in the United States that are currently selling gas for as low as $3.05/gallon.

We learned about how we can potentially cut gas usage, such as driving less, walking more, riding a bicycle and utilizing public transportation. However, if you happen to live in one of these 20 cities listed below, consider yourself in luck. We found 20 cities with the lowest current gas prices in America. If you find that you live in or near one of these cities, hop in your car and take that summer road trip!
